After dropping out of college in his freshman year in pursuit of becoming a magician, Ben Zabin was unable to realize his dream. Not to give up, he changed direction and became a weed dealer instead. Now, however, he’s found a way to unify his greatest passions- magic and the world of marijuana.

That’s what you’ll get at the “Smokus Pocus” show hosted by magic maestro Ben Zabin. It’s a cannabis-themed spectacle that’s running for two weeks at the AREA15 in Las Vegas from April 15 through June 15. Tickets are going quickly for the special April 20 performance, especially with the promise of an experience that combines mind-blowing illusion with brain-expanding weed. Zabin created the concept in Spring 2021 and has since toured it around the US, to the delight of cannabis-loving fans who have encountered the interactive show and delighted in its unique combination of art form and chill. “Millions of people like to have their minds blown by watching magic and millions like to expand their minds by getting high, so I figured why not combine the two?,” says Zabin. Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to witness a truly one-of-a-kind show – you’ll be glad you did!

Smoke and Mirrors

Zabin, a resident of the legally-green Connecticut city of Greenwich who identifies as the world’s first weed-first magician, has crafted an experience that blends objects vanishing and reappearing with bags of his go-to cannabis strain. Although many arrive at the show baked and leave confused, Zabin promises that the show is entertaining for both sober and, uh, not-so-sober audiences. Although consuming marijuana is not permitted on-site, a press release accompanying the show ensures all guests that certain cannabis products will not be sold. Come for the trickery, stay for the pot: it’s a performance like no other.

Parting Gifts

It’s a fact: Zabin’s act involves lots of real marijuana, and some lucky members of the audience can even take some home with them! Due to this, tickets for the show cost between $30 and $45, but only those aged 21 and over can purchase them.
