CFL Game Zone relaunched for 2023 season

Fans can now play CFL Preseason Futures & CFL Team Picker

The Canadian Football League (CFL) has announced an updated version of CFL Game Zone, in collaboration with its official data and technology partner Genius Sports. This partnership was formed in 2021 to benefit from the North American sports betting market. This led to the inaugural launch of CFL Game Zone, a platform that allows fans of the league to join contests and form closer connections with the game through several interactive experiences. This version consists of two offerings for now – CFL Preseason Futures and CFL Team Picker, with more to come. With CFL Preseason Futures, fans make one-time predictions before the season start on June 10th. Whoever wins the match-up within four months can get a potential prize of CAD$100,000.

CFL Team Picker offers a new way for fans to discover the Canadian Football League, with ten questions designed to match personalities to clubs. COO Tyler Mazereeuw of the CFL said: “Our goal with the new and improved CFL Game Zone is to provide CFL fans a way to interact with their fellow fans and show off their fandom. Through connection and competition, it serves as a uniting platform for all of our fans.” Participating fans can receive rankings based on how they perform, as well as the chance to enter prize draws if all answers are correct.

The Canadian Football League (CFL) recently shared its plans to relaunch its CFL Game Zone platform. The platform has been given a “futuristic” and “cohesive” look and a digi-neon colour palette to give an immersive feeling to those enjoying the game. Additionally, a single login system has been put in place so that fans can access all of the league’s offerings through one entry point. There is also a new rewards system where users can earn achievement badges for completing various objectives, such as playing the game continually or achieving league or weekly wins.
