Key department stores reopening in Ontario today

With Ontario is scheduled to enter step one of its reopening plan at 12:01 a.m. on June 11, shoppers will be pleased to know that large retailers including HomeSense, Winners and Marshalls will reopen their doors to customers in Ontario today.

TJX Canada confirmed to Narcity that the stores would be reopening in accordance with the provincial government guidelines, which allows retailers with outdoor entrances to resume operations at limited capacity on Friday.

However, locations that only have indoor entrances through malls will remain closed, at least in step one.

COVID-19 measures will remain in place including mandatory face coverings, protective shields at cash registers and enhanced cleaning measures.

"The health and wellbeing of our Associates and customers continue to be a top priority for us," said a spokesperson. "Our store locators, which we expect to update daily, will be the best source of information about when a particular store is open and its hours of operation."
